Logistics Coordinator Starting Pay:

$21/hour

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; weekends as needed Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our logistics team. This position will be responsible for coordinating transportation, shipping, warehouse, and inventory operations to ensure efficient and timely movement of products. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in logistics or third-party logistics (3PL) , strong knowledge of shipping and freight processes, and hands-on experience using a 3PL Transportation Management System (TMS) . Experience with international shipping, including truck and container shipments, is highly valued. Responsibilities Coordinate transportation planning and shipping activities to ensure timely deliveries and efficient freight movement. Manage daily warehouse distribution activities, including picking and packing, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and material handling. Coordinate shipments with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight carriers, and other transportation partners. Utilize a 3PL Transportation Management System (TMS) to manage shipments, track freight, and maintain accurate transportation records. Prepare and maintain shipping documentation and ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. Apply knowledge of shipping classes, freight classifications, and shipping accessories to ensure accurate shipment processing. Coordinate and monitor international shipments , including truck and container transportation. Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory control and order fulfillment. Communicate with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams regarding delivery schedules and resolve shipping issues as they arise. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, international trade requirements, and applicable customs documentation. Maintain accurate records related to shipping, inventory, freight, and warehouse operations. Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency. Assist with scheduling, dispatching, warehouse operations, and team coordination as needed. Follow all safety procedures and assist with forklift operations when applicable. Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, or 3PL operations. Experience using a 3PL Transportation Management System (TMS) is required. Comprehensive knowledge of shipping classes, freight classifications, and shipping accessories. Experience with international shipping , including truck and container shipments. Experience with shipping, receiving, freight coordination, inventory management, or warehouse operations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds independently . Ability to safely work in a warehouse/logistics environment. Forklift certification is a plus. Experience with WMS, ERP, AS400, or CMMS systems is a plus. Knowledge of customs procedures and international trade regulations is a plus.
