Join a fast growing company Join a company that does meaningful environmental work About Our Client Support manufacturing planning and scheduling operations by developing demand forecasts, optimizing production schedules, managing lead times, and coordinating activities across sales, operations, procurement, inventory, and manufacturing teams to drive on-time delivery and operational efficiency. Job Description Demand Forecasting & Sales Planning Develop demand forecasts using sales trends, historical data, and market information Partner with sales and operations teams to align forecasts with business objectives Monitor forecast performance and adjust plans based on customer demand and business conditions Prepare monthly demand plans and rolling forecasts Support new product launches and demand planning activities Production Planning & Scheduling Create and maintain master production schedules Balance supply and demand to maximize manufacturing efficiency Coordinate schedules across multiple product lines and production areas Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and capacity constraints Execute MRP (Material Requirements Planning) processes and manage schedule changes Support just-in-time production initiatives where applicable Lead Time & Delivery Performance Monitor and optimize production and procurement lead times Track on-time delivery performance and identify improvement opportunities Manage customer delivery commitments and communicate realistic timelines Support priority and expedited orders while maintaining schedule integrity Prepare reports related to schedule adherence and delivery performance ERP & Planning Systems Execute planning and scheduling activities within ERP systems Maintain and update planning-related master data, including bills of materials, routings, and lead times Support ERP implementations, upgrades, and process improvements Generate planning reports, schedules, and KPI dashboards Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with support teams as needed Follow established planning processes and standard operating procedures Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with inventory, procurement, manufacturing, and sales teams to support material availability and production goals Coordinate supplier schedules and purchasing activities as needed Support order management by providing realistic delivery dates Participate in production and planning meetings Document planning decisions and maintain schedule change records Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and scheduling efficiency Support process standardization and documentation efforts Participate in quality, compliance, and audit activities Recommend and implement process improvements Support initiatives focused on reducing lead times and improving customer satisfaction Contribute to broader supply chain and operational improvement projects Analysis & Reporting Prepare routine schedule status reports and KPI summaries Analyze forecast accuracy and schedule performance Develop dashboards and visual reports to support decision-making Communicate planning updates and delivery impacts to stakeholders Maintain detailed records of planning assumptions and decisions Present planning insights to leadership and cross-functional teams MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant A successful Planner should have: 2+ years of experience in demand planning, production planning, master scheduling, or a related field Knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes Experience working with ERP systems Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Knowledge of manufacturing operations and supply chain processes Strong Excel and data analysis skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate across departments and functional teams
