Job Description

Production Planner - Manufacturing Company In Freeport, IL Full‑Time | On‑Site A fast‑paced manufacturing facility is seeking a Production Planner to build, manage, and adjust production schedules across multiple departments. This role is essential to keeping daily operations running smoothly and ensuring customer orders are met on time. What You'll Do Create and update daily, weekly, and long‑range production schedules Translate master scheduling requirements into department‑level plans Count and verify component, WIP, and material inventories Adjust schedules based on bottlenecks, material availability, machine status, or labor constraints Communicate schedule changes to supervisors and department leads Monitor schedule adherence and identify issues before they impact production Work directly on the production floor to validate readiness and resolve problems What You Bring 2-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations Strong analytical skills (the original description requires "above average analytical skills") Ability to count and verify inventory accurately Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments (supported by the original requirement to "communicate with persons inside or outside the company…") Ability to work independently, prioritize, and adjust to changing conditions Post‑high school education required; degree preferred and/or equivalent work‑related experience. Work Environment Majority of time spent in the production/manufacturing facility May require lifting up to 50 lbs. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintain a drug‑free workplace .
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
