Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to hire a Supply Chain Assistant to support purchasing operations, logistics coordination, and supply chain administration. This role will be responsible for managing purchase order activity, maintaining ERP data, supporting logistics initiatives, and providing administrative support to the Purchasing team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while supporting both day-to-day operations and special projects.

Contract What's the job? Support the Purchasing team by managing the purchasing inbox and routing purchase order requests to Buyers Confirm purchase orders and maintain purchasing records Run and maintain purchasing and supply chain reports, including past due purchase orders, unconfirmed purchase orders, and open order reports Update purchase orders with testing notes, artwork revisions, and other required documentation Track inbound shipments and containers while coordinating logistics activities with overseas suppliers Create and maintain voyage information to support inbound logistics Assist Buyers and Logistics Specialists with administrative tasks, reporting, and data entry Maintain accurate purchasing and logistics documentation to support day-to-day operations Support supply chain automation initiatives and assist with special logistics projects Identify opportunities to improve purchasing and administrative processes after becoming proficient in the role What's needed? High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, procurement, or administrative support preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook Experience working with ERP systems; D365 experience is a plus Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Comfortable performing detailed, process-driven administrative work Quick learner with an interest in continuous process improvement What's in it for me?
