You'll be the connective tissue between carriers, customers, and our brokers — tracking loads, solving problems before they become escalations, and keeping communication tight from pickup to delivery. This is a hands-on ops role, not a desk-and-wait job: we're looking for someone who takes ownership and doesn't need to be told twice. Responsibilities Track and manage active loads from dispatch through delivery, proactively flagging delays or exceptions Communicate with carriers and drivers to confirm pickup/delivery times, locations, and load details Provide timely shipment status updates to brokers and customers Troubleshoot service issues in real time — missed pickups, detention, rescheduling — and drive them to resolution Maintain accurate load and carrier data in our TMS Support carrier vetting and compliance checks using our carrier network tools Coordinate with brokers and account managers to ensure loads are covered and customer expectations are met Identify recurring issues and suggest process fixes rather than just working around them Requirements Prior experience in freight brokerage, dispatch, or logistics coordination preferred Comfortable working in a TMS and load board environment Strong verbal and written communication — you'll be on the phone and emailing with carriers and customers daily Able to stay calm and solve problems under time pressure; freight doesn't wait for business hours Detail-oriented and organized enough to manage multiple active loads at once A self-starter mentality — we're not looking for someone who waits to be told what to do Why Contrax We do the basics right — the things a lot of brokerages overlook.
