The Quoting & BOM Analyst maintains accurate product BOMs and related data systems to support manufacturing and business operations. This role works with cross-functional teams to manage product changes, ensure data accuracy, and support efficient production.
Essential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes:
Your Accountabilities in the Role Maintaining High Quality and Efficiency (90% of the job) Create, maintain, update, and audit Quotes and BOMs for new and existing products. Review engineering drawings, specifications, standards and change notices to ensure BOM & quote accuracy. Process Engineering Change Orders, Engineering Change Requests and product revisions as needed. Cost & pricing analysis & Validate material structures, part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and configurations. Coordinate with internal departments to resolve BOM discrepancies. Ensure product master data complies with company standards and procedures. Analyze Quotes and BOM-related issues that may impact sales, production, inventory, and cost. Maintain accurate item master records in ERP, MRP, and/or PLM systems. Support product launches, product transfers, and end-of-life activities. Generate reports and perform data analysis to identify trends, errors, and improvement opportunities. Conduct periodic BOM & quote audits and data integrity reviews. Perform Essential Functions:
Able to walk as often as needed through the office and manufacturing plant Must be able to hear when talking to someone on the phone and speak clearly to communicate information to customers, vendors, and other employees. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of the day
Environmental Conditions & Travel:
The employee is primarily exposed to an office environment with average noise volume. The employee is occasionally required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while visiting manufacturing departments. The office and manufacturing warehouse have heat and however, temperature fluctuates throughout the day. Various machinery, equipment and forklifts are used in the manufacturing areas. Employees should use extreme caution, follow all safety procedures, and wear all required PPE to ensure safety for themselves and others.
Position Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of experience and education in a related field.
Experience:
2-5 years of BOM and product management, and experience in manufacturing. Certification(s):
N/A Functional Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; organization skills and attention to detail;
Technology Aptitude/Skills:
CAD Experience helpful and proficient in
Microsoft Excel Language Skills:
Fluent in English required; ability to speak Spanish a plus
