Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Company Overview Gruber Industries, Inc. is a locally owned company founded in 2005, originally focused on excavation services. Over time, the business expanded to include industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, and custom metal fabrication. Today, Gruber Industries provides a wide range of services to industrial clients and is proud of its team-oriented culture and commitment to quality workmanship. Position Summary Gruber Industries is seeking a dependable and organized individual to support our daily shop and field operations. This position will assist with picking up, ordering, receiving, and organizing parts and materials while also helping with general shop duties, deliveries, and job preparation. The ideal candidate is reliable, willing to take initiative, and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities. Depending on the candidate's skills and experience, this position may also include basic office and administrative support. Primary Responsibilities Pick up and deliver parts, materials, tools, and supplies Order materials and shop supplies as directed Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and order status Receive deliveries and verify items against purchase orders or packing slips Organize and maintain parts, materials, tools, and shop supplies Stage materials and equipment for upcoming jobs Track orders, backordered items, and expected delivery dates Help maintain accurate material and inventory records Assist with loading and unloading materials Perform general shop cleanup and organization Assist welders, millwrights, and other employees with basic shop tasks Help prepare tools, equipment, and materials for field jobs Run company-related errands and make deliveries to job sites or customers Notify management of missing, damaged, or incorrect materials Perform other general labor and operational support duties as needed Potential Office Responsibilites For the right candidate, the position may also include: Contacting vendors for quotes or order updates Helping maintain job, material, and delivery records Scanning and uploading documents Assisting with basic data entry Providing general office support as needed Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Organized and able to manage several tasks or requests Willing to learn and assist wherever needed Strong attention to detail Comfortable communicating with vendors, employees, and customers Basic computer and email skills Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record Able to safely operate a company vehicle Able to lift, carry, and move parts and materials Previous experience in an industrial, maintenance, fabrication, warehouse, purchasing, or construction environment is preferred but not required Experience with material ordering, inventory, purchasing, or administrative work is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform general shop duties Ability to work in both office and industrial shop environments Ability to safely load, unload, and transport materials Schedule This position is generally scheduled during regular weekday business hours. Some flexibility may be required depending on material needs, deliveries, job schedules, and emergency work. Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
