Job Summary Perform analysis, drive continuous improvement projects, define methodology / standard work, manage and monitor performance in the area of logistics and material flow at site level. The role can cover the following (all or partially): Inbound / Receiving, internal material movements, warehousing, outbound / shipping, freight/transport management, cycle counting, inventory management, transactional activities, and packaging. Job Responsibilities Receiving & Material Handling
  • Maintains a schedule of inbound and outbound production material.
  • Greets truck and arranges for incoming material unload and storage.
  • Receive and verify incoming raw material or products against invoices, PO's or other records; enter transactions into the ERP/MRP system.
  • Notify Quality when incoming material is ready for inspection.
  • Examine, unpack and inspect incoming shipments, document and report discrepancies.
  • Ensure all received materials and documents meet quality standards.
  • Route received items to the appropriate departments.
  • Safely operate forklifts/power jacks to move materials. Inventory & ERP Management
  • Ensure ERP inventory accuracy through correct material placement, reconciliation, and audits.
  • Assist with maintaining planning documents related to incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Issue work orders to the floor as requested. Shipping & Scrap
  • Organize deliveries and outbound shipments of material.
  • Update export compliance documents after shipments occur.
  • Assist in expediting subcontractor deliveries.
  • Manage scrap dealers, including scheduling pickups and tub deliveries.
  • Arrange delivery and return of tubs to/from vendors.
  • Review and audit scrap tub manifests and tally sheets for accuracy. Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
  • Perform all receiving-related administrative duties promptly.
  • Maintain organized filing systems.
  • Represent Receiving in production meetings to communicate material status and understand priorities.
  • Communicate with other departments and provide warehouse information on request.
  • Take ownership of assigned areas, keeping them clean and organized.
  • Lead and support projects within assigned areas.
  • All other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent combination of advanced education and/or 4 years progressive logistics experience
  • Must be able to perform work subject to
ITAR/EAR
regulations and/or program requirements.
  • Must be US Person (Citizen or Green Card Holder) or have the ability to obtain the necessary Government licensing to work with controlled technology and products
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; effective collaborator.
  • GKN and aerospace industry experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP/MRP systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities/projects under pressure.
  • Takes initiative, solves problems, and exercises sound judgment.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, project management, and cross-functional teamwork.
  • Self-starter with strong decision-making abilities; fluent in English.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing and walking (At least 7hrs/day)
  • Ability to carry and lift weight up to 50lbs
  • Bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling required (At least 2hrs/day)
