Logistics & Shipping Specialist (f/m/d) Eutecma gmbh Noblesville, IN Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Automobile transportation General freight transportation Logistics cargo handling Growing experience Communication with suppliers Defect detection (quality control) Equipment safety procedures Maintaining an organized workspace Microsoft Outlook Freight documentation management Less-than-truckload (LTL) transportation Operations coordination Spreadsheets Freight rate negotiation Shipment tracking for distribution operations Cross-border logistics planning Truck delivery (delivery method) Mid-level Forklift Supply chain transportation management Order shipping Invoice processing Manufacturing facility experience Export documentation management Order fulfillment receiving Freight shipment tracking Quality issues Transportation cost analysis for distribution operations Shipping and receiving inventory management Warehouse cleanliness Full Job Description Freight & Shipping Schedule and coordinate outbound shipments, including direct-to-customer shipments Track inbound shipments from suppliers and international company locations Schedule truck pickups, deliveries, and carrier appointments Communicate directly with carriers, freight providers, suppliers, drivers, and internal teams Obtain and compare freight quotations and transportation options Support rate comparisons and identify cost-effective shipping options Prepare and maintain Bills of Lading, packing lists, shipping documents, and related records Track shipment status and identify delays or service issues Ensure shipping and receiving documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained Handle and maintain paperwork provided by or required for incoming and outgoing drivers Verify freight charges and shipping-related documentation and support invoice processing as required Sourcing & Supplier Support Identify and contact potential suppliers and operational service providers Obtain and compare supplier quotations Support the selection of cost-effective products and services Maintain supplier and quotation information Coordinate with suppliers and service providers regarding operational requirements Support purchasing and sourcing activities as needed by the Operations Manager Shipping & Receiving Operations Support daily shipping and receiving activities at the dock Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently Verify incoming and outgoing quantities against applicable documentation Inspect incoming goods for visible damage, quality issues, or discrepancies Stage and prepare goods for shipment Support inventory movements and material handling as operationally required Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment in accordance with company safety requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area Practical experience in logistics, freight coordination, transportation, shipping, sourcing, or a related field Previous experience scheduling freight and coordinating carriers is required Previous experience obtaining quotations, comparing rates, or sourcing suppliers/services is required Understanding of shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading and packing lists Experience with LTL and/or FTL transportation is preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously Confident and professional communication with carriers, suppliers, drivers, and internal teams Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook Experience with ERP, transportation, warehouse, or inventory systems is preferred Willingness to learn and use company-specific ERP and operating systems Willingness to work regularly in both the shipping office and warehouse/dock environment Ability and willingness to load and unload trucks and perform physical shipping and receiving activities Forklift experience is preferred; training and certification can be provided on site Reliable, structured, proactive, and team-oriented working style Nice to Have Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production logistics International or import/export shipping exposure Experience supporting freight-cost reduction or carrier-rate negotiations Experience working in a growing or changing operational environment
