Job Description

About the Role We're looking for a Material Flow Engineer with hands-on experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing, strong expertise in material handling systems, and solid Lean manufacturing knowledge. You'll collaborate cross-functionally and manage complex projects from concept through implementation. This is a w2 5-6 Month Contract Onsite in Warsaw, Indiana. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field (master's a plus). 3+ years in material flow, logistics, or industrial engineering, ideally in automotive or high-volume manufacturing. Proficient in AutoCAD, simulation tools, ERP systems, and Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional settings. Preferred Skills PFEP data, assembly/body shop processes, job balancing, internal logistics routing, and WMS. Fork-free delivery strategies (kitting, sequencing cells, lean lineside presentation). Material tracking technologies. CAD and flow-layout optimization for space and efficiency gains. What You'll Do Optimize material flow from warehouse to point of use using Lean principles. Develop lineside replenishment systems (e.g., eKanban) with IT to automate material calls. Maintain material handling layouts for efficient space use. Lead pull-system implementation with balanced inventory at each point of use. Manage material handling equipment lifecycle — forklifts, tuggers, AGVs/AGCs, carts, racks, and low-cost automation. Physical Requirements Lift up to 35 lbs; stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
