Job Description

Job Purpose Responsible for prompt and accurate handling of purchase orders to suppliers, receiving and shipping goods ordered by the customers. Planning and organizing the logistics flow of returnable material and dunnage exchange between the customer and the warehouses. Responsible for completing inventory adjustments at the internal and external warehouses. Controls the import/export functions of SSA and designated logistics duties. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Arranges logistics for domestic and international freight movements and customers.
  • Responsible for insurance related to international INCO terms.
  • Processes and enters customers' orders, data, etc. into AX system and/or portal systems.
  • Maintains all documentation/data for import/exports, including duty drawbacks, Certificates of Origin, HTS Codes, GSP (Generalized System of Preferences), etc.
  • Completes all necessary and required paperwork related to film imports, exports, and domestic shipments.
  • Trains and develops in areas of logistics involving domestic and international processes.
  • Manages insurance claims related to logistics.
  • Transfers finished goods to external warehouses.
  • Analyzes data, including warehouse reconciliations, shipping efficiency, load, and warehouse capacity.
  • Works with Logistics Supervisor to perform physical counts, reconciliation, DPR data consolidation, and inventory adjustments.
  • Works with the Logistics Supervisor to maintain the pallet program, tracks monthly pallet returns from customers, pallet usage at SSA, and inbound/outbound pallets.
  • Conducts physical inventory scans and reports results.
  • Develops and maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Oversees and coordinates the operation of delivery, including freight companies and warehousing.
  • Takes appropriate corrective actions for delivery issues and/or inventory issues.
  • Maintains daily logs and reports.
  • Supports Team Leader in Shipping and Receiving.
  • Responsible for compliance with all related ISO standards.
  • Commit to continual improvement of the environment through SSA's suggestion program, protecting the environment and improving our environmental performance by supporting our environmental management system's targets and objectives.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, and relevant compliance obligations related to the environmental aspects of SSA.
  • Comply with SSA's Zero Emissions program.
  • Agree to prevent injury incidents by observing established working rules, following the directions of managers/supervisors, practicing the principles taught in safety training and providing ideas so our safety management system is improved continuously.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local occupational health and safety laws, regulations, and relevant compliance obligations related to the occupational health and safety aspects of SSA.
  • Comply with all other relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School Diploma or GED (Required) Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Working knowledge of INCO terms (Required) Working knowledge of tariff classification (Required) Working knowledge of international import/export requirements (Required) Working knowledge of physical inventory and shipping/receiving. (Required) 2-5 years of experience in supply chain operations Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred. Working knowledge of ERP systems. Operational knowledge of inventory, purchasing materials, packing materials and perishable supplies, shipping and receiving, and procedures relating to departmental jobs, etc. Knowledge of forklift operations and other equipment related to logistics. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
