Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Material Expediter is responsible for managing the flow of materials across AFCO's production departments to ensure timely production and on-time delivery of product. This role monitors production schedules, identifies and resolves material movement issues, and supports the accuracy of supply chain data within SAP to maintain efficient operations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production & Material Flow Monitor departmental production schedules to prevent disruptions in the production process Track customer orders that are stagnant or have not been acted on; ensure appropriate personnel are aware and material is moving forward Meet regularly with the Materials Manager to discuss on-time product movement across departments and ensure customer demand is being met Calculate and report completion accuracy of department production orders supporting customer demand Discuss purchasing supply issues with scheduling; follow up with purchasing in an expedited manner to address potential delays promptly Data Accuracy & Reporting Monitor production confirmation-related errors and coordinate correction to ensure data entered into SAP is accurate Utilize available tools and system data to identify bottlenecks, delays, and material movement issues Prepare and submit reports as required by the Materials Manager Safety, Quality & Compliance Work within the guidelines of AFCO's quality program Give proper consideration to safety on each job; abide by all company safety rules, policies, and procedures Maintain good housekeeping standards in work areas Report problems or accidents to management immediately Perform related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS
Required Strong ability to communicate using written, verbal, and electronic communication tools Basic math proficiency: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook High school diploma or GED Preferred Experience in production scheduling or materials coordination in a manufacturing environment Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
