The pay rate is between $16 - $22 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with potential overtime as needed. Job Summary:
The Driver & Logistics Coordinator will help keep the clinic's equipment, supplies, inventory, and mobile medical unit organized and ready for daily operations and onsite client services. This position serves as a key link between customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable driving larger vehicles, and able to interact professionally with clients and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the company's mobile medical unit to client locations for onsite testing. Safely transport and position the mobile unit at client locations. Assist with preparing the mobile, equipment, and supplies for onsite testing. Learn medical technician practices and procedures before transitioning to warehouse responsibilities. Coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Schedule deliveries with carriers, vendors, and customers. Track shipments and proactively communicate status updates and potential delays. Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings. Respond to customer inquiries regarding delivery schedules, and transportation issues. Maintain accurate records within transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and company databases. Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to support business objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. Assist with inventory management and order fulfillment activities as needed. Generate logistics reports and performance metrics for leadership review. Perform basic vehicle and mobile unit checks and communicate maintenance needs. Coordinate routine vehicle maintenance and service schedules. May be assigned other duties, as necessary.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. +2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, customer service, or a related field. Valid TWIC card preferred or ability to obtain one. Valid Driver's License and clean MVR required. Strong knowledge of shipping, freight coordination, and transportation processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Experience driving large trucks and trailers. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and problem- solving skills. Basic vehicle maintenance and schedules.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing for prolonged periods. Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching. Pushing and pulling heavy objects. Lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds.
