Job Summary:
Ensure the timely flow of materials, parts and supplies across departments to maintain production schedules and operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor inventory levels, track incoming orders, and ensure materials are delivered on time to meet production or project schedules Contact suppliers, place orders, verify shipments, and resolve supply, quality, or invoicing issues Review production schedules, assign materials and staff, and expedite materials to prevent delays Maintain records of deliveries, generate progress reports, and report on shortages, substitutions, or schedule modifications Verify incoming materials against specifications, inspect for damage, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations Act as a liaison between departments such as procurement, production, and warehousing to ensure smooth operations All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to manage multiple orders, schedules, and projects simultaneously Strong verbal and written communication for coordinating with suppliers and employee Familiarity with inventory management, supply chain software, and logistics processes Ability to proactively troubleshoot delays, shortages, or supply chain disruptions
Required Education and Experience:
• High degree or equivalent is required. An Associate's degree in a related field is preferred• 2-4 years related experience in manufacturing is required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for long periods of time
