Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Clinical Support & Transportation Specialist to join our healthcare team. This is a multi-faceted role responsible for assisting in the initial patient intake process and ensuring the safe transportation of clients to and from medical and behavioral health therapy appointments. This position serves as a bridge between administrative operations and direct clinical care, ensuring a seamless, safe, and supportive experience for all Standard Healthcare Plus patients. Duties Safely operate various passenger vehicles including vans and company vehicles to transport clients to medical appointments and treatment facilities. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, local driving routes, and state transportation regulations during daily operations. Assist patients with boarding, disembarking, and manual handling of mobility aids or luggage while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety and reliability. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pickup times, route updates, and any delays or changes in schedule. Support clinical staff by coordinating transportation schedules, managing client appointments, and ensuring timely arrivals Follow all safety protocols related to medical transportation and passenger vehicle operation to guarantee client well-being at all times Assist mental health professionals during group sessions. Assist group leader with clients' needs during sessions. Welcome and register new patients, collecting demographic, insurance, and medical history information while verifying eligibility. Manage inventory of clinical/office supplies, medications, and facility resources; conduct regular audits to ensure compliance. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, limousine chauffeur, or in personal vehicle delivery roles. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating passenger vans or heavy vehicles preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Knowledge of local driving routes, traffic regulations, and state transportation laws applicable to passenger vehicles. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading/unloading mobility aids or luggage. Experience in medical transportation or healthcare-related driving roles is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and coordination with clinical teams. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify minor mechanical issues and ensure vehicle safety standards are met.
