Job Description
Theory Wellness is the first employee-owned cannabis company in Massachusetts and the largest in the country. The Logistics Flex Associate is the link between Waterville production and every Theory Wellness location in Maine. This role is primarily responsible for the safe, compliant transport of cannabis inventory across the state, keeping store menus stocked and wholesale orders moving on schedule. This is a true hybrid, flex role. When not on the road, this person supports the logistics department (picking and staging orders, receiving inventory, warehouse operations) and flexes directly into production wherever output is needed most: preroll production, flower packaging, labeling, beverage, and other manufacturing departments. It's a hands-on role with real variety, and a strong entry point into a growing multi-state operation.
Responsibilities Transportation:
Driving:
Safely and compliantly operate a company vehicle (non-CDL truck) to transport cannabis inventory between Theory Wellness locations withinMaine Loading/Unloading:
Safely and compliantly load and unload inventory, verifying counts and documentation against manifestsVehicle Upkeep:
Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and road-ready; report maintenance needs promptlyEquipment Operation:
Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (forklift certification provided upon hire)Inventory & Warehouse Support:
Order Fulfillment:
Pick, pack, and stage inventory accurately based on provided documentationReceiving & Transfers:
Support inbound and outbound logistics of cannabis and non-cannabis materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all inventory transactions and tracking systemsDocumentation:
Complete and file all required transport and inventory documentationInventory Systems:
Learn and work within company inventory software, includingDutchie, METRC, and Apex Non-Cannabis Interstate Transfers:
Assist with transferring non-cannabis inventory, equipment, and materials between company sites in other states. Cannabis product, biomass, and extract never cross state lines.Production Flex Support Flex Assignments:
When not needed for driving or warehouse work, work hands-on in production departments as directed to increase output, including preroll production, flower packaging, labeling, and beverage/canningLabeling & Packaging:
Apply labels, pack finished goods, and support packaging lines to production quality and rate standardsPreroll Support:
Assist the preroll team with filling, tubing, crowning, and boxing as production schedules requireProduction Standards:
Follow department SOPs, quality checks, and compliance requirements in every department worked; meet the same performance expectations as the home teamSite Support Cross-Department Collaboration:
Coordinate with production leadership to expedite inventory distribution and keep product flowing at the Waterville siteDepartment Familiarization:
Build working knowledge of day-to-day operations across production departments to support where neededWork Environment:
