Job Overview We are currently looking for a Associate Commodity Planner to join our team in Holland, MI. As an Associate Commodity Planner you will: Manage the inbound movement of materials from suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels. Collaborate with purchasing, production, master scheduling, customer service and engineering teams to coordinate material requirements and resolve any supply chain disruptions. Essential Functions Manage inventory levels for assigned parts or materials, ensuring availability to meet production demands while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Support production scheduling and end customers by managing the flow of incoming material and identifying and communicating potential bottlenecks in supply. Resolve material shortages by exhausting all options such as substitutes, partial shipments to avoid additional cost including break in fees and expedites. Learn and utilize Haworth's material planning systems and tools to plan and track inventory, generate reports, and support decision-making. Participate in supply chain continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce waste and enhance efficiency. Analyze supply chain data related to planning, inventory, and production to identify trends and support decision-making. Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation. Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment. Performs other duties within scope as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or similar.
Education Equivalency:
Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience if no post-secondary education Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance. Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position. Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military Preferred Qualifications SAP experience or exposure. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Project experience, including A3, W3, Lean, or similar problem-solving methodologies. Interest in AI and process improvement. Internship experience in supply chain, procurement, planning, or manufacturing.
