Job Title:
Material Coordinator C Location:
Pascagoula, Mississippi General Function The Material Coordinator C supports Material Control operations by tracking and coordinating the flow of materials necessary for shipyard projects. This role requires a basic knowledge of shipbuilding terminology to determine material requirements and to maintain documentation for material movement and storage. Duties and Responsibilities Assist Material Control with the tracking and management of all warehouse inventory. Kit materials based on spreadsheets or generated lists from Central Planning. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to check material availability or identify back-ordered items. Arrange for the transportation of available materials to job sites. Follow up on back-ordered materials to ensure timely availability. Maintain accurate paperwork for material receipt, storage, and movement. DESIRED Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. Familiarity with shipyard terminology. Competency with spreadsheets and inventory management systems. Basic knowledge and familiarity with the bill of materials shipbuilding and terminology.
REQUIRED
Experience & Training 1-2 years prior shipbuilding experience is required. 1-2 years experience working in a warehouse or materials control environment.
