Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Analyst to support logistics and distribution activities for a machinery manufacturing operation in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Long-term Contract position will focus on coordinating domestic and international shipments, maintaining accurate shipping records, and helping ensure materials move efficiently through the supply chain through the end of the year. The ideal candidate brings strong shipping knowledge, sound judgment when working with freight partners, and a proactive approach to resolving transportation issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate outbound and inbound shipping activity to support daily operational needs and delivery commitments.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely movement of goods.
  • Work closely with freight carriers and forwarders to arrange transportation, track shipments, and address service issues.
  • Analyze freight options and obtain transportation quotes to balance cost, timing, and service requirements.
  • Monitor shipping performance and communicate delays, exceptions, or documentation issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Support shipping and receiving processes by confirming shipment details, updating records, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with logistics-related administrative tasks, including system updates and process support tied to shipping operations.
  • Help maintain smooth coordination across supply chain and distribution activities to improve reliability and efficiency.
