The purpose of this position is to oversee all safety, training, and compliance programs for Greenville Area Transit. This position will develop and deliver operator training; administer the Agency Safety Plan; conduct safety inspections and investigations; support operator recruitment; manage CDL training and certification; and oversee DOT/FTA drug and alcohol compliance. The hiring salary range for this position is $67,204.80 to $85,675.20 per year The full salary range for this position is $67,204.80 to $104,145.60 per year

Exempt Training Develop and deliver new-hire and ongoing training for all operators and dispatch staff; Maintain training policies, SOPs, and required documentation; Conduct operator evaluations, skills assessments, and remedial training; Track training records and provide documentation for audits and reporting; Safety Program Management Administer GREAT's Agency Safety Plan and all

safety processes; Lead hazard identification, mitigation, safety monitoring, and safety communications; Facilitate monthly safety meetings and support a strong safety culture; Submit required NTD safety and security reports; Inspections & Investigations Conduct routine inspections of facilities, vehicles, and bus stops; Document deficiencies and recommend corrective actions; Respond to major accidents and incidents and lead investigations; Participate on the Accident Review Committee; DOT Drug & Alcohol Compliance Serve as Drug and Alcohol Program Manager (DAPM); Coordinate required DOT/FTA testing and maintain compliance records; and Support audits and submit annual DAMIS reporting; and Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field and Three years of related experience Or Associate's degree in a related field and Seven years of related experience

Valid North Carolina Class B Commercial Driver License with Passenger Endorsement and without Air Brake Restriction. Completion of TSI Transit Bus Operator Instructor course is required within one year.
