Job Description

Director of Planning Build the plan that keeps a growing, multi-site manufacturing organization moving. Carolina Beverage Group (CBG) is looking for an experienced Director of Planning to lead planning strategy and execution across our manufacturing operations in North Carolina, Minnesota, and Texas . This is a 100% in-office role. This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands how great planning connects the entire business—from customer demand and materials to plant capacity, inventory, and execution. You'll lead a multi-site planning organization, partner closely with Operations and Commercial leadership, and help us continue building more consistent, data-driven planning processes across CBG. What You'll Do As Director of Planning, you'll oversee demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and customer planning across our manufacturing network.
You will:
Lead planning activities across our North Carolina, Minnesota, and Texas facilities Drive demand, supply, inventory, and capacity planning processes Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, Finance, and Commercial teams to align customer demand with operational capabilities Lead monthly forecast reviews and planning discussions Identify capacity, material, inventory, and supply risks before they impact our customers Lead, coach, and develop Planning Supervisors, Key Account Planning Managers, and other planning team members Establish consistent planning processes, expectations, and accountability across all locations Drive improvements in inventory performance, working capital, and inventory turns Support new customer onboarding, new product introductions, and commercialization activities Monitor forecast accuracy, service levels, schedule attainment, capacity utilization, and other key planning metrics Identify opportunities to improve planning tools, systems, SOPs, reporting, and cross-functional communication Support ERP, MRP, and planning system enhancements What Success Looks Like You'll help CBG improve: Forecast accuracy and planning reliability Customer service and supply-risk visibility Inventory turns and working capital Capacity utilization and schedule attainment Material availability Planning consistency across all locations Development and succession readiness of our planning team What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field 7-10 years of planning, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing experience 3-5 years of leadership experience Strong knowledge of demand planning, inventory planning, capacity planning, and materials management ERP/MRP systems experience; SAP experience preferred Strong analytical and data interpretation skills Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem solving and communicate business risks effectively Experience developing teams and building accountability Multi-site manufacturing experience preferred Beverage, food, CPG, or other high-volume manufacturing experience preferred APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus Why Work for Carolina Beverage Group?
