We can process over one million pounds of semi-perishable tobacco per day by transforming it into a stable tobacco material that can be stored for years, all while meeting the exacting standards of the tobacco product manufacturers.
As a compliment to ULNAs leaf stemming business, our J. P. Taylor Company, L.L.C. facility provides tobacco stems and scrap blending, rolling, and cutting, which further enhances the total value and usability of the entire tobacco leaf. Both the Nash and J.P. Taylor facilities maintain ISO9001 Quality and
ISO 14001
Environmental systems, which further support our commitment to our customers and other stakeholders. The unusable tobacco waste material from both facilities is transformed into organic compost at our Carolina Recycled Ag Materials, LLC (CRAM) facility, which provides a cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative to commercial fertilizers.

SummaryAs a Logistics/Sales Administrator at Universal Leaf North America, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating international sales orders, ensuring efficient logistics operations, and providing exceptional support to our customers, global origin offices, and sales team. This role requires strong attention to detail, a logistics background, and ability to handle ambiguity.
What You'll Be Doing (Essential Duties)Abide by and enforce company policies, safety procedures and good housekeeping practicesProcess and manage international sales orders from receipt to delivery.
Coordinate with sales, customers, and shipping departments to ensure timely order and shipment fulfillment.
Maintain accurate records of sales orders, shipments, and inventory levels.
Arrange and monitor international shipments, ensuring compliance with all regulations and requirements.
Liaise with freight forwarders, customers brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth transportation of goods.
Track and report on shipment status, resolving any issues that arise during transit. Provide excellent customer service to international clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding order status, shipping details, and delivery schedules.
Assist in preparing and processing documentation, including invoices and shipping documents. Maintain and update sales and shipping systems with accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and oversee inventory, sales orders, and logistics.
Support the sales and origin teams with administrative tasks as needed.
Assist external and internal auditors as necessary.
Contribute to ongoing improvement of Sales and Logistics processes.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Minimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in a business-related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
Two or more years of domestic and international Transit and Logistics experience,Two or more years of experience working with government officials, freight forwarders, customs brokers and transportation companies.
Five or more years of experience working in a manufacturing and logistics environment.
Computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, and other Microsoft applications.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
Willingness to work overtime to meet firm deadlines.
Adapt to frequent changes in climate, environment, workload and schedules, including Saturday and Sunday work when requiredPreferred RequirementsKnowledge of Incoterms and ISO quality program is helpful.
