Job Description

SUMMARY Detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator whose responsibilities include arranging and scheduling LTL freight with third-party carriers, coordinating and managing international shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations. Proven ability to track shipments, communicate effectively with carriers and customers, and resolve issues to maintain efficient supply chain operations. Committed to delivering "white glove" service at all times.
RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Schedule LTL freight, track shipments, provide daily updates and resolve delays or issues from initiation to final delivery
  • Optimize transportation solutions while balancing cost and service using GlobalTranz and other systems
  • Manage customer accounts and contact information
  • Research destinations to determine delivery requirements and applicable accessorials
  • Provide rate quotes and manage booking requests for transactional customers
  • Apply knowledge of NMFC codes accurately
  • Create bills of lading (BOLs)
  • File and manage claims for lost or damaged shipments
  • Coordinate and manage international shipments (air, ocean, and ground) from origin to final delivery
  • Review shipping documents such as commercial invoices and packing lists
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and import/export laws
  • Work with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams to move shipments efficiently from origin to final destination
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and partners to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Optimize shipping routes and costs while maintaining service levels
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and transactions
  • Monitor carrier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Generate invoices and process billing in Net Suite
  • Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and team members
  • Balance customer needs with company profitability
  • Support account management and identify opportunities to expand services
  • Build positive relationships to drive additional business
  • Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • 1-2 years of direct experience in LTL OR international shipping
  • Clean background check and valid driver's license
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including proper email etiquette
  • Ability to quickly learn new technology and navigate complex systems
  • Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills with initiative to resolve issues with a resilience to overcome barriers and quick decision making for effective outcomes.
  • Proficiency with PC skills and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to change
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Effective and efficient time management, attention to detail, talent for setting priorities, exceptional organizational skills and aptitude to carry out instructions is a must.
