Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Planner / Expediter to join our team. In this vital role, you will coordinate project schedules, ensure timely procurement of materials, and facilitate smooth communication across departments to keep our projects on track. Your proactive approach will help drive efficiency and support successful project delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Understand, use and interface with Epicor manufacturing and accounting system or equivalent in the performance of the below listed duties.
MPS & MRP
Maintain specific planner codes as assigned Plan the material and labor hours required to maintain the shipping schedule Assist in the reduction of inventory investments and the increase of inventory turns Control inventory levels to ensure the smooth and optimum flow of parts in support of the shipping schedule while minimizing the total amount of inventory and maximizing inventory turns Reports delays and recommends corrective action when necessary, i.e., overtime, subcontracting, etc. to stay on plan Will be required to interface with internal Sales Representatives to determine production capability for customer requirements Will be required to interface with production personnel in support of manufacturing plan Actively participate in Labsphere's Continuous Improvement efforts by identifying and implementing new methods with the goal of improving overall all efficiency, reducing cost to serve, or quality Adhere and improve on Labsphere documented processes in accordance with ISO. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Computer knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, Lotus Notes and Epicor desired. One- to two-years' experience in a materials organization function (purchasing, planning or inventory control).
