Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the logistics and distribution of all materials, incoming and out- going, at The Inventors Shop, on a daily basis, while managing the assembly /production lines. Schedule the distribution of parts and materials while maintaining an internal record-keeping system. Inspect and record material shortages while rejecting damaged goods. Job Summary The ideal candidate should exceptional follow up skills, must be able to multitask, and prioritize. Should have excellent computer skills. Be certified to operate a forklift
Duties:
  • Oversee Inventory Control and Packing Area procedures and personnel
  • Make local deliveries and pick-ups to distribute materials
  • Inspect and verify all material and quantity received with documentation required for shipping and receiving
  • Contact carriers for pick-up and delivery service (UPS, FedEx, Trucking Company)
  • Control all documentation for outside operations (paint, plating, heat treat)
  • Assist Management in developing processes and setting goals
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements, cost reductions and profit improvement initiatives.
  • Accident prevention - correct and/pr report any unsafe working conditions before they result in an accident
  • Support the
ISO 9001
Quality Management System and The Inventors Shop Quality Policy calling for self inspection of your work product
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED High School Diploma, or equivalent experience, Valid Drivers license required. Have good Verbal, Writing and Organizational skills. Computer literate or trainable. Able to attain Forklift certification through the company. .Ability to multi-task.
Experience:
The candidate should posses 1-2 years similar experience.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
