Job Description
Role Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator supports the Logistics Manager with the day-to-day coordination of customer orders, shipments, and transportation activities. This role is responsible for processing orders, communicating shipment status, coordinating refrigerated deliveries, and maintaining accurate logistics documentation. This is a detail-oriented role requiring strong customer service, logistics coordination, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to coordinate effectively with customers, carriers, brokers, Sales, Warehouse, and Production teams.
Job Requirements:
▪ 2+ years of experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or order management.
▪ Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
▪ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
▪ Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
▪ Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
▪ Experience coordinating FTL and LTL shipments preferred.
▪ Background in frozen food distribution or refrigerated transportation preferred.
▪ Knowledge of route planning and freight scheduling preferred.
▪ Experience with ERP systems preferred; SAP Business One is a plus. Personal Attributes /

Key Responsibilities:

Process Customer Orders:
Receive, enter, and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
▪
Coordinate Customer Communication:
Provide customers with updates regarding order status, shipping schedules, delivery appointments, and special requests.
▪
Resolve Shipping Issues:
Address customer inquiries, shipment delays, and transportation-related concerns in a timely and professional manner.
▪
Coordinate Refrigerated Shipments:
Schedule and monitor nationwide FTL and LTL refrigerated deliveries.
▪
Support Route Planning:
Assist the Logistics Manager with weekly delivery planning and route coordination.
▪
Manage Carrier Communication:
Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and transportation partners regarding pickups, deliveries, and service requirements.
▪
Track Shipments:
Monitor shipments and proactively address transportation delays or delivery issues.
▪
Maintain Shipping Documentation:
Prepare and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping records, customer documentation, and related logistics paperwork.
▪
Maintain ERP Records:
Enter and maintain accurate customer and logistics information within SAP Business One.
▪
Monitor Freight Activity:
Assist with freight utilization, delivery efficiency, and transportation performance.
▪
Support Freight Cost Control:
Monitor freight costs and assist with initiatives designed to improve transportation efficiency.
▪
Generate Logistics Reports:
Prepare reports related to orders, deliveries, and transportation activity.
▪
Collaborate Across Departments:
Work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Production, and Logistics to ensure orders and deliveries are coordinated effectively.
▪
Support Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, efficiency, and customer service.
▪ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
