Our client, a food manufacturing and distribution company, is looking for a Logistics Billing Specialist to join their team in Moonachie, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing freight invoices, auditing shipping documentation, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining accurate shipment data in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and send accurate customer invoices for freight and logistics operations Verify Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), and rate confirmations against contracts Research and resolve billing errors, missing paperwork, and unexpected accessorial charges such as detention or layovers Enter and track shipment data using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or enterprise software Maintain accurate and organized billing records and documentation

Requirements:

1-3 years of billing, accounting, or freight industry experience required Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Familiarity with logistics software including TMS and ERP systems High accuracy in managing large sets of numbers under fast-paced deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple billing priorities simultaneously
