Job Description
Behind every delivery is a team making sure routes are organized, drivers have the information they need, and customers stay informed. At Ferraro Foods, our Transportation team plays a critical role in keeping deliveries running smoothly and supporting our drivers and customers throughout the day. We're looking for a Transportation Clerk who's organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Be Working On Coordinate with dispatch to update daily dispatch sheets, manifests, driver and helper assignments, and departure times Maintain accurate route, driver, helper, and employee information in RoadNet and transportation records Prepare dispatch sheets for the next day and confirm assignments with Transportation leadership Route new customers and coordinate delivery windows and special delivery requests Schedule delivery appointments for distributor customers Communicate with customers, drivers, Customer Service, and Sales regarding delivery times, changes, and delivery issues Download and print tickets for customer pickups and prepare required reports for upcoming deliveries Support Friday routing and preparation for Saturday deliveries Assist Receiving with scheduling inbound delivery appointments when additional support is needed Review daily transportation payroll reports and report employee absences, vacation time, and sick time The Ingredients for Success Strong attention to detail and follow-through Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to work independently and stay on task Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, customer service, or administrative support preferred High school diploma or equivalent work-related experience preferred Experience with RoadNet or similar transportation/routing software is a plus Why You'll Love Working Here Be part of the team that keeps our daily deliveries moving Work closely with drivers and teams across Transportation, Customer Service, Sales, and Operations Fast-paced environment where organization and communication make a direct impact Opportunities to learn and grow within transportation and operations
