Job Description

The Lead Planner is responsible for coordinating production planning activities to ensure customer orders are accurately scheduled, fully documented, and executed on time. This role serves as a key link between ERP data, production, engineering, and customers to proactively manage schedule integrity, material readiness, and order compliance.

Job Duties:

Review new orders for accuracy including part number, quantity, price, delivery date, and all purchase order notes. Review the ERP system a minimum of twice weekly to identify new customer orders, schedule changes, and priority updates. Maintain and continuously update the Job Schedule, ensuring accuracy of: Job location and production status Material availability and shortages Due dates and customer commitments Pull and review job folders and travelers released to the wire room to verify completeness and accuracy prior to production. Ensure revision control compliance by confirming: All revision levels match across job travelers, drawings, and cut sheets Current drawings and documentation are present Engineering approvals and signoffs are complete and documented Identify documentation discrepancies or engineering changes, add to engineering spreadsheet, and coordinate corrections prior to release. Update Engineering Spreadsheet adding priority level based on customer required dates. Communicate directly with customers regarding order delays, material constraints, or production issues that may impact delivery commitments. Track and follow up on First Article Inspection (FAI) approvals when required by the customer, ensuring timely release and production readiness. Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customer Service to resolve issues affecting schedule adherence. Proactively escalate risks to delivery, documentation, or compliance to leadership as needed. Review and approve drawings as needed. Assemble comprehensive FAI packages, including completing AS9102 Forms 1,2, and 3, ballooned drawings and certificates of compliance and submit package for approval. Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma Job Requirements:

Standards Pay:

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
