Job Description
The Supply Chain & Fleet Coordinator has a wide range of responsibilities that deal with each step of the shipping processes. This position oversees the daily supply chain and logistics of strategic raw materials and finished good distribution across the network. Accountability 1: Drive SHE Excellence Most important activities: Promote the 20 principles of process and behavioral safety and adhere to life-saving rules Report incidents, near misses, and hazard identifications, and lead investigations onsite with appropriate conclusions and sustainable actions. Ensure workplace practices are in conformity with established guidelines (IGGN) Ensure all Shipping activities are aligned with INEOS core values, SHE policies & Company initiatives Knowledge of standard regulations and maintain appropriate level of DOT training for hazardous materials Act as back up to the Site Access & Fleet Coordinator for visitors, deliveries and plant access controls. Accountability 2: Production and Load Planning Most important activities: Maintain, utilize and update production model, open sales reports, and inventory data to communicate production plan to Operations and Customer Service Team. Accountability 3: Transportation/Shipping Most important activities: Manage all aspects of ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight. Prepare, coordinate, maintain and monitor all rail shipping documentation within the DOT and railroad regulations. Includes assigning railcars to orders. Includes prioritizing shipments with available inventory. Maintain appropriate paperwork and reports for shipping records. Primary point of contact for servicing railroad. Troubleshoot and resolve rail shipping issues. Elevate issues as appropriate. Accountability 4: Railcar fleet tracking, tracing & reporting Most important activities: Support coordination of rail fleet with more than 300 rail cars. Utilize various programs to accurate track and trace entire rail fleet. Develop and maintain reports to measure transit, dwell and rail car turns. Troubleshoot delayed shipments within railroad network. Optimize fleet and rail network (internal and external) to minimize demurrage. Strategize for rail car storage and negotiate with third party suppliers as necessary. Communicate railroad delays to appropriate stakeholders including Customer Service, Operations, and Leadership. Maintain and share internal reports for rail car tracking, tracing, loading and movements. Accountability 5: Supply Chain Functions Most important activities: Obtain and negotiate freight rates from appropriate rail roads as requested from Commercial Team. Participate and offer suggestions to strategize for optimal supply chain processes. Track, receive and move raw materials into the SAP system. Actively participate in various meetings with raw material suppliers, customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders regarding supply chain functions. Provide regular reports as needed. Troubleshoot and report supply chain deficiencies. Assist with monitoring inventory at various locations throughout the network. Provide monthly accruals to finance department for supply chain areas. Generate monthly report for Customer Service to invoice customer demurrage. Monitor and optimize logistic processes identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies in raw material planning, rail car storage, rail car lease/sublease, shipment prioritization and production balance.
