Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, fleet operations, or supply chain operations preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation compliance requirements preferred. Experience coordinating schedules, managing driver communication, and supporting daily operations is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing demands. Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment. Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Experience working with transportation, dispatch, or route management software preferred. Physical Capabilities Ability to work in an office and transportation operations environment. Frequent computer use, phone communication, and data entry throughout the shift. Ability to remain organized and productive in a fast-paced setting. Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required. Job Duties Coordinate and dispatch drivers to ensure on-time deliveries and efficient route execution. Monitor driver productivity, performance, and daily transportation operations. Prepare route packets and maintain dispatch information within transportation management systems. Communicate with customers and drivers to resolve scheduling, routing, and service issues. Manage trailer closures, load completion, and shipment tracking activities. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and transportation safety standards. Provide operational support and coverage as needed to maintain service levels. Complete dispatch logs, operational records, reports, and customer documentation accurately and on time. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers while delivering exceptional service. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
