Job Description
Legacy Farmers Cooperative is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation Specialist to transport grain, fertilizer, and agricultural products while providing excellent service to our farmer-members and customers. This position plays an important role in keeping our agricultural operations running efficiently across our communities. What You'll Do Safely transport grain, fertilizer, and other agricultural materials to customers and Legacy locations Provide friendly, professional customer service during daily interactions with farmers and team members Load, unload, and secure materials using appropriate equipment Operate or learn to operate forklifts, truck-mounted forklifts, tanker trailers, hopper trailers, van boxes, and flatbeds Maintain accurate delivery and safety records Follow all DOT regulations and Legacy Farmers Cooperative safety policies Assist at nearby Legacy locations as needed Work overtime during planting and harvest seasons when business demands increase What We're Looking For Valid Class A CDL with a safe driving record High school diploma or equivalent Transportation, agriculture, or farm experience preferred (or willingness to learn) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching Basic computer and record-keeping skills Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Schedule & Work Environment Home daily - no overnight travel Work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions and at agricultural facilities Requirements Must pass a pre-employment drug screen Safe driving record verified and monitored by company insurance provider Why Work for Legacy Farmers Cooperative? 6% 401(k) company match to support your long-term financial future Insurance available 1st of the month Stable, year-round employment
