Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team and contribute to the efficient management of our horticultural operations. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams, and external partners, by maintaining accurate information and clear communication channels to ensure the smooth flow of operations. This position is salaried, with a compensation rate of $60,000 annually. A typical work day is 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Peak Season Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate the organization of staging/ loading & delivery paperwork for shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Serve as the point of contact for carrier/driver inquiries, addressing concerns associated with product delivery, routing, and delivery appointments. Assist with maintaining both inbound and outbound shipping files. Collaborate with the production teams to schedule outbound shipments, ensuring the schedule accommodates both the production workload and customer requirements. Communicate with carriers to ensure trucks are arriving to load at all facilities as planned. Relay accurate arrival times to the shipping departments. Communicate with carriers to ensure trucks are arriving at customer locations as scheduled. Coordinate appointment reschedules as needed and relay schedule changes to the sales team. Assist in coordinating inbound deliveries and facility transfers. Communicate the arrival of inbound deliveries to the production team. Routing support and delivery appointment scheduling as needed.
Ancillary Responsibilities:
Review and approve monthly merchandising reports for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist the sales team and carriers in obtaining proof of delivery documentation if necessary. Report Marketing/Royalty Fees for branded material. Provide support for plant tag ordering as needed.
Qualifications:
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to problem solve, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality service.
