The Logistics Coordinator will play a key role in managing shipments from pickup through delivery, coordinating with carriers, customers, and internal team members to ensure freight moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well, pays close attention to detail, and can quickly solve problems when issues arise. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily freight shipments from pickup through final delivery Communicate with customers, carriers, drivers, and internal team members throughout the shipment process Track shipments and provide timely status updates Confirm pickup and delivery appointments Monitor loads for delays, missed appointments, breakdowns, weather issues, and other exceptions Proactively communicate potential problems and develop solutions Obtain and maintain accurate carrier and shipment information Verify rate confirmations, pickup numbers, delivery requirements, and other shipment details Collect and maintain proof of delivery and other required documentation Enter and maintain accurate information within our transportation management system (TMS) Assist with carrier sourcing and capacity when needed Work closely with the brokerage sales team to ensure customer commitments are met Follow up on open loads and outstanding documentation Maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers Assist with resolving freight claims, billing issues, and service problems when necessary Maintain accurate records and ensure company procedures are followed Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire transportation process What We're Looking For 1+ year of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, dispatch, or a related field preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Comfortable communicating by phone, email, and messaging platforms Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with transportation issues Strong problem-solving skills Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new technology quickly Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Freight brokerage 3PL operations Transportation management systems (TMS) Load boards Carrier sales Truckload/LTL transportation Dry van, reefer, flatbed, or box truck operations Freight tracking software EDI/customer portals What Success Looks Like A successful Logistics Coordinator will: Keep shipments moving and customers informed Identify problems before they become major issues Build strong relationships with carriers and customers Maintain accurate shipment information Respond quickly and professionally to time-sensitive situations Help the operations team provide consistent, reliable service Become a trusted resource for both customers and carriers Why Join Us?
