Job Description

Logistics Coordinator 8a-5p Monday-Friday We are currently seeking a talented and highly motivated professional who has great customer service skills. This is an entry level position and experience is not required. A willingness to learn and a team mentality will make you a successful candidate. Primary duties Negotiate with transportation providers to obtain the best rates and service Manage the booking and tracking of all outbound and inbound shipments, ensuring all orders are delivered safely and timely. Provide timely updates and identify solutions when issues occur-work well under pressure Familiar with Microsoft Office and a quick study on software systems Develop and maintain contractual relationship with freight vendors Answer questions and resolve customer/carrier issues
  • problem solving skills Coordinate and process all shipping paperwork for both customers and carriers. This includes both domestic and international shipments. Identify and measure cost savings solutions for assigned customers-initiative Support customers with claims and shortages
  • professional writing and verbal skills Review and approve all freight invoices Ability to work well with peers and with cross functional teams Ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines Receive calls and e-mails from vendors and customers
  • requires excellent phone and professional writing skills Process orders, route and monitor shipments
  • attention to detail Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent necessary. Some College beneficial To perform this job successfully, the person must be able to work well with others in the spirit of cooperation. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills when communicating with customers or teammates. Must have strong Excel skills and systems aptitude Transportation or shipping experience beneficial, but not required. Must be organized, dependable, self-motivated, professional person with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines. Ability to create and implement standard operating procedures, but able to flex as required. Reliable, punctual, accountable and possess excellent customer service skills.
