Job Title:

Logistics CoordinatorJob Description The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role within the Production Operations team by coordinating domestic and international shipping, receiving, carrier communication, shipment tracking, and all related logistics documentation. This position ensures the timely and accurate movement of products and materials while working closely with carriers, customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve day-to-day transportation and logistics issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

+ Coordinate domestic and international shipments to support customer delivery requirements and production schedules.

+ Prepare, review, and maintain accurate shipping, receiving, customs, export, and carrier documentation.

+ Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, customers, vendors, and internal departments to coordinate pickups, deliveries, shipment status, and issue resolution.

+ Coordinate with Sales and Finance to ensure accurate shipping documentation, customer requirements, freight billing, sales order terms, and shipment-related communication.

+ Track shipments, obtain proof of delivery when required, and provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders.

+ Support import and export compliance processes by ensuring required shipping information, classifications, and documentation are complete and accurate.

+ Create and maintain accurate logistics and inventory records within the ERP system, including requisitions, purchase orders, bills of lading, certifications, and related documentation.

+ Research shipment delays, carrier non-conformances, freight claims, and delivery issues, and coordinate corrective actions as needed.

+ Participate in production meetings and communicate logistics constraints, shipment priorities, and potential risks to the Production Manager and operations team.

+ Identify opportunities to improve shipping, receiving, documentation, and carrier coordination processes.

+ Support special projects within the shipping, receiving, and production operations areas as assigned. Essential Skills + 1-3 years of experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Shipping/Receiving Specialist, or in a similar hands-on logistics or transportation coordination role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

+ Experience working with an ERP system and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

+ Experience running open orders reports, scheduling, printing pick lists, processing orders for shipments, and coordinating with freight forwarders, global offices, Sales, and Finance.

+ Working knowledge of logistics, inventory, distribution, and carrier coordination processes.

+ Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with carriers, customers, vendors, and internal departments.

+ Demonstrated ability to multitask while maintaining strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to prioritize multiple shipments, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

+ Dependability and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

+ Ability to learn quickly, solve day-to-day problems, and find resolution through ambiguity.

+ High level of trustworthiness with confidential information and matters, demonstrating strong moral and ethical standards.

+ Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software. Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, operations, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred.

+ Experience with customs, export documentation, freight forwarders, brokers, and international shipping requirements preferred.

+ International shipping experience is a plus.

+ Previous experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.

+ Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems is a plus.

+ Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, approachable personality to collaborate effectively with production, sales, finance, and other internal teams.

+ Demonstrated strong sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Work Environment This role is based in an office environment within a manufacturing facility, with regular interaction on the production floor to coordinate with production personnel. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with internal departments such as Production, Sales, and Finance and frequently communicates with external partners including carriers, freight forwarders, brokers, and customers. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, typically 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The dress code is business casual. The position reports directly into Production leadership and offers a contract-to-hire path within a small to mid-sized company that is growing each year, providing opportunities to contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bethlehem, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
