Assistant Manager of Training and Logistics
Job Description
Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park. As part of the Maintenance Administrative Team, this position will play a pivotal role in the hiring, onboarding and training of the various trades positions within our maintenance department. In addition, this position will take on the ownership of coordinating logistics around seasonal storage and events as it relates to needs from the maintenance teams. Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job): Coordinate with appropriate departments including HR, Corporate Safety and Attractions to schedule, host, track and document all departmental, trade specific and company required training. Track and coordinate all off-site trades training, certifications and conferences.
- Coordinate with trades managers to develop and execute onboarding and training programs for each trade and trade progression; schedule, track and document accordingly. Assist with the hiring and onboarding of new trades team members to ensure they have the tools, trainings and resources available to them at time of hire and during their first 30, 60, 90 days of employment
- Develop, coordinate and execute trainings including but note limited to: comprehensive ride evacuation trainings, special equipment trainings, and trade specific training to ensure easily auditable and fully complaint documentation of roles and responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics around seasonal and special events as it relates to needs from the maintenance trades. Oversee seasonal storage initiatives and assist with the planning and coordination of the logistics around arrival, set up, and tear down needs.
- Oversee the maintenance specific storage areas including but not limited to parking lots, warehouses, and trailers to ensure optimal use of space, coordination of deliveries, and inventory control processes. Coordinate with the MRO buyer on large deliveries to ensure appropriate space as been allocated and resources are available for receiving
- Ensure consistency in enforcement of Company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations and assist in the oversight of health and safety practices and procedures in areas of responsibility. Ensure all necessary training programs have been offered in accordance with government regulations and/or Company policy.
- Participate in the Maintenance Department Manager on Duty rotation.
- Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older.
