Job Summary Spectrum Brands is seeking a proactive and driven supply chain expert to join our team as a Buyer/Planner. You'll play a pivotal role supporting our supply planning processes with an established best-in-class S&OP framework. In this role, you'll develop and execute robust purchasing strategies to align supply plans with inventory investment goals and customer service standards. You'll collaborate closely with commercial teams, sourcing experts, production leaders, and finished goods supply chain planners to manage capacity effectively and ensure the timely availability of raw materials. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the tactical relationship of raw material supplier base, both domestic and international, to ensure the execution of material purchasing aligns with manufacturing production schedules. Leverage and sustain advanced planning systems and optimization (SAP
IBP, S4/PPDS
) to develop raw material plans in supporting of purchasing strategy, ensuring efficient production management, operational stability, and the achievement of customer service level targets. Create and maintain critical SAP master data elements to ensure accuracy in supply and production plans. Help manage slow moving and obsolete raw material SKUs for proper disposition. Engage in regular cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, and customer service to align and balance demand with supply. Proactively identify potential supply challenges and effectively communicate solutions. Partner with the product development team to ensure new product launches are executed efficiently and timely. Manage and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion in a fluid environment. . Education and Experience Profile Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred 1+ years of supply chain experience is required SAP experience strongly preferred Intermediate MS Excel experience required (Vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) Experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods environment preferred Required Skills Purchasing, Planning or Inventory Management background. Strong understanding of MRP systems. MS Office experience. Strong problem analysis and resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong customer orientation. Proven aptitude for multitasking; ability to identify and manage a variety of high priority tasks and provide resolution in a calm and effective manner. Attention to detail; excellent organizational skills. Strong team player.
