JobSummary:

The Cost Control Specialist isresponsible for supporting project teams by performing cost control activitiesfor a portfolio of large projects.



Responsibilities will include validating and reporting project costs,incorporating trends or approved changes, and providing financial forecasts forassigned projects.

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

Work with all relevant project and disciplinepersonnel to prepare project cost expectations and tracking tools. Understand all relevant project documentspertaining to the preparation of cost control plans and reports. Ensuring the integrity of accounting informationand providing analytical services for transmission and substation projects. Monitoring, maintaining, and completing keyreports and providing analytical functions towards capital projects utilizingdata and other critical deliverables. Collecting, evaluating, and reporting Capitalbudget, project cost, work order closings and variance reporting. Initiate, monitor, maintain and close out ofcapital work orders in all legal entities. Create and analyze capital budgets, financialforecasts, reporting of actual financial results and variance explanations. Work with accounting on reconciling invoices. Assists in the preparation of accruals. Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities): Basic or Minimum Qualifications Requires a High-School Diploma or Equivalent Five (5) years with less than ten (10) yearsrelated experience as a project cost analyst or similar role required Requires a working knowledge of cost controlsoftware and the ability to learn new software platforms quickly Proficient in Microsoft Excel Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Officesoftware (Word, Powerpoint, etc.) Ability to work with minimal supervision Have attention to detail Ability to interact effectively with staff atall levels Availability and the ability to work on multipleprojects simultaneously Availability and ability to travel to clientsites on occasion Availability and ability to work overtime asneeded based on project Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred AdditionalApplication Requirement To be considered, candidates residing outside ofcommuting distance to the office are required to provide a cover letterregarding their intentions to relocate to the local area and that the candidateunderstands that there will be no relocation assistance provided.
