Ready to cook up something amazing with us? Let's make kitchen magic together! The Demand Planner will be responsible for maintaining customer/SKU level forecasting. Said forecasting will be conducted both via independently using sales data, and collaboratively with the commercial business units. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, ability to problem solve, strong Microsoft Excel Skills, and know how to gather and interpret data. This person will liaise with internal and external colleagues to address issues, strategize on solutions, and to plan collaboratively on future events like program sets, promotions, and holiday/seasonal impacts to demand This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, identifying trends, and seeing how their analysis directly influences business decisions. This is a hybrid position reporting to our Tarrytown, NY office 2 times per week .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Analyze and interpret outbound sales, retailer inventory levels, and point-of-sale data / trends for the purposes of projecting future demand. Create and maintain forecast extract to be used as collaborative tool with Commercial units for forecast reviews and consensus planning. Collaborate with internal and external commercial units to form forecast consensus, and discuss any issues related to fulfillment. Assess inter-departmental collaboration to identify process inefficiencies and recommend corrective action plans. Identify key sellers and recommended stock levels to ensure order fulfillment. Reporting of sales and demand data. Monitor and report forecast accuracy. Identify potential inventory planning issues and collaborate with OPS / Commercial units to address proactively. Assess purchase order needs based on inventory targets and projected future sales. Must be adept in data mining and Microsoft Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Bachelor's degree

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, V-lookups, formulas and large data-set analysis

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 3-5

years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, forecasting , or similar role

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to identify trends and turn data into practical business recommendations. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external business partners. Experience working with retail sales, POS, or consumer-product data is a plus.
