Job Description

Logistics Coordinator BlackBridge Logistics is looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team and help manage the day-to-day movement of freight. BlackBridge Logistics grew out of BlackBridge Recycling and our years of experience moving freight across the country. We saw firsthand what worked, what didn't, and how much a good logistics partner can impact a customer's business. We built BlackBridge Logistics around a simple idea: do things the right way, communicate well, create a great customer experience, and add value to every transaction. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of that. This is a hands-on role for someone who is organized, communicates well, solves problems, and likes keeping things moving. Freight does not always go according to plan. Trucks run late. Pickups change. Customers need updates. Loads need coverage. Your job is to help stay ahead of those issues and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. What You'll Be Doing Your mornings will focus on the freight moving that day: Check in with drivers and carriers for pickup and delivery ETAs Keep customers updated Identify delays or service issues and help resolve them Post uncovered loads for coverage and help secure carriers Confirm carrier and driver information once loads are booked Throughout the day, you'll help keep our operations organized: Build and update loads in Alvys Maintain accurate load, carrier, driver, pickup, and delivery information Update loads in transit Upload PODs and supporting documents Send completed delivery documents to customers Follow up on anything that still needs attention Afternoons are about getting ahead of tomorrow: Review upcoming freight Post and prebook uncovered loads Confirm upcoming trucks and drivers Build future loads in Alvys Work ahead on freight scheduled later in the week What We're Looking For Ideally, we're looking for someone with 1-5 years of experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation, dispatch, or a similar field. That said, experience isn't everything. Recent graduates who are hungry to learn, willing to work hard, and want an opportunity to prove themselves are absolutely encouraged to apply. We can teach our systems and how we operate. What matters most is good judgment, communication, attention to detail, follow-through, and the willingness to pick up the phone and solve a problem. You should be comfortable talking with drivers, carriers, and customers, able to adjust when plans change, and willing to take ownership of your work. Schedule & Location Monday through Friday Preferred hours are 7:00 AM-3:00 PM Eastern, with 8:00 AM-4:00 PM also considered. This is a hybrid position, but you must be able to work from our Wall, New Jersey office most days. Some flexibility to work remotely is available, but this is not a primarily remote role. Compensation Compensation is based on experience, background, and what you can bring to the role. Why BlackBridge Logistics? We're a growing company and a small team, which means your work matters. You won't be buried several layers deep inside a large organization. You'll know the customers you're working with, the carriers you're talking to, and the people you're working alongside. We also believe technology should make the job easier, not more complicated. We use AI tools and automation to reduce repetitive work, improve communication, and help our team operate more efficiently. If you see a process that can be improved, simplified, or automated, we want your input. You do not need to be a technology expert, but you should be comfortable learning new tools and looking for smarter ways to work. There is also no single path this role has to follow. If you enjoy operations and want to stay on that side of the business, you can. If you eventually want to move into carrier sales or customer sales, you'll have the opportunity to learn those parts of the business and work toward them. We're looking for someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, works hard, takes care of customers, and wants to become someone the team can count on. How to Apply Please don't send us a cover letter. We probably won't read it. A resume is fine, but if you want to grab our attention in a unique or creative way, we're open to seeing it. Show us how you think, how you communicate, or why you'd be a great fit for BlackBridge Logistics. You can send anything you'd like us to see directly to vfabrico@blackbridgerecycling.com.
