Job Description

Logistics Specialist REMCO, a Smart Care Company REMCO is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to support warehouse operations, inventory management, and materials accountability within our service organization. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting replenishment activities, managing surplus materials, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations that support technicians and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of inventory accuracy, and understands the importance of operational efficiency and customer support. Key Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse for stock inventory and surplus project materials Coordinate surplus project materials with Supply Chain leadership Administer excess vehicle return processes and inventory reconciliation activities Work directly with technicians to ensure timely return of components to suppliers for credit processing Conduct warehouse and vehicle inventory audits to ensure accurate identification, storage, and accountability of materials Participate in inventory optimization and cost improvement initiatives Perform replenishment activities while balancing operational and customer expectations Promote strong inventory accountability and ownership across the organization Support safe warehouse operations and maintain compliance with company safety standards Qualifications & CompetenciesEducation & Experience Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Team leadership experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong organizational and inventory management skills Ability to analyze inventory issues and recommend solutions Experience managing projects and priorities with minimal supervision Understanding of supply chain and materials management processes Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Ability to manage schedules, workflows, and competing priorities effectively Physical Requirements This role requires normal warehouse operational capabilities including: Frequent kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching Ability to climb ladders using appropriate safety equipment Forklift operation Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 70 pounds Certifications Supply Chain certification preferred or willingness to pursue certification through the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) or equivalent organization Must be willing to support and champion change management initiatives across the Supply Chain organization Travel Requirements Primarily North America-based travel Typical travel up to 5%, with occasional increases up to 25% based on business needs Work Environment On-site position at a REMCO location Collaborative work at regional warehouse facilities may occasionally be required Remote work is not available for this role Key Performance Metrics Safety leadership Continuous improvement initiatives Materials and inventory efficiency Stakeholder engagement and feedback Inventory management KPI performance About Smart Care Smart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, cold storage, and HVAC equipment. We provide comprehensive mechanical services including hot-side cooking equipment, stand-alone refrigeration, specialty beverage systems, complex rack refrigeration, and HVAC.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
