Job Description
About Surgery Stuff Surgery Stuff purchases surplus and overstock medical devices from hospitals and surgery centers across the United States. We help healthcare facilities recover value from inventory they no longer need while supplying products to facilities that can put them to use. We're seeking a Purchaser who enjoys travel, relationship building, and uncovering opportunities. This role combines customer outreach, inventory evaluation, purchasing, and logistics coordination. You'll spend time visiting healthcare facilities, reviewing inventory, negotiating purchases, and helping move products into our distribution network. What You'll Do Travel to hospitals and surgery centers throughout the United States to review and catalog surplus medical inventory. Identify products that meet company purchasing criteria. Prepare and present purchase offers to healthcare facilities. Build relationships with hospital supply chain, purchasing, and materials management teams. Conduct phone and email outreach to identify facilities interested in selling excess inventory. Coordinate packaging, pickup, and shipment of purchased products. Maintain accurate records of inventory reviews, purchases, and facility communications. Work closely with operations and warehouse teams to support inventory acquisition efforts. Training New hires will complete approximately 90 days of on-site training at our Fairfax, Virginia headquarters before transitioning into independent travel.
