About the role:
As a Senior Nuclear Transport Specialist, you will help establish transportation policies and procedures. Additionally, you will provide direction to transport and non-transport personnel to effectively execute the functions and activities of the department. Plan, organize and control shipments of radioactive and non-radioactive, nuclear related products to and from several licensed consignees, including customer reactor sites and other Westinghouse locations. You will report to the US Transport & Logistics Senior Manager and be located at Columbia, SC. This is a hybrid role requiring 3-4 days onsite at the Columbia plant.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and implement the physical movement of shipments and prepare all legally required documentation
Implement transportation plans for complex logistics projects through analysis of conditions for delivery, regulatory requirements, alternative transportation options, and cost
Manage appropriate metrics for U.S. Transport Operations. Provide periodic reporting of shipments and deliveries, project milestones, and supplier performance
Collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional departments
Perform responsibilities in compliance with federal, state, local and site-specific regulations and agreements. Support audit preparation and compliance
Write and revise procedures to ensure consistency with all safety, regulatory compliance and site work requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
8-10 years in a regulated, global transportation and logistics function
- preferred 5+ years of experience shipping / transporting hazardous materials
Experience of transportation principles and understanding of U.
S.
Import / Export
regulations
Subject matter expertise in Class 7
- Radioactive Materials Transportation preferred

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $76,400 to $95,500 per year. #LI-Hybrid Why Westinghouse?
