The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure products are delivered accurately, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This role works closely with carriers, warehouses, suppliers, purchasing, customer service, and internal stakeholders to manage transportation activities, resolve shipment issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting on-time delivery while optimizing freight costs and ensuring compliance with company policies and transportation regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate domestic and international shipments from suppliers to distribution centers and customers.

Schedule inbound and outbound freight with approved carriers.

Monitor shipments from origin through final delivery and proactively communicate delays or issues.

Prepare and review shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, and customs documentation when applicable.

Track freight costs and assist in identifying opportunities for transportation savings.

Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, freight claims, damaged shipments, and delivery exceptions.

Maintain accurate shipment records and update ERP and transportation management systems.

Work closely with Purchasing to ensure materials arrive in support of production schedules.

Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient receiving and shipping operations.

Collaborate with Customer Service regarding customer delivery commitments and shipment status.

Assist in carrier selection and performance monitoring using key performance indicators.

Support inventory accuracy by ensuring timely and accurate shipment transactions.

Ensure compliance with DOT, hazardous material, export, import, and other applicable transportation regulations.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with carriers, freight brokers, and internal departments.

Assist in continuous improvement initiatives focused on logistics efficiency, service levels, and cost reduction.

Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Experience 2-5 years of logistics, transportation, supply chain, warehouse, or distribution experience preferred.

Experience working within an ERP system (NetSuite preferred).

Experience coordinating LTL, FTL, parcel, and expedited freight is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of transportation and logistics processes.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience with ERP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.

Knowledge of Incoterms, freight classifications, and shipping documentation is a plus.

Time and Availability Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours each week from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. or some variation thereof
