Logistics Operations Specialist Location:
Summerville & Orangeburg, South Carolina Work Schedule:
3 days/week in Summerville and 2 days/week in

Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist to support logistics operations across our two manufacturing facilities in Summerville and Orangeburg, South Carolina. The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate material transfers between the two facilities, including arranging transportation, communicating with carriers and internal teams, tracking shipments, and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time. This position will also be cross-trained in shipping and receiving operations at both facilities and will provide backup support based on operational needs. The position will typically work three days per week at the Summerville facility and two days per week at the Orangeburg facility. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily and scheduled material transfers between the Summerville and Orangeburg facilities Arrange trucks and transportation services for interplant material transfers Communicate with carriers, drivers, warehouse teams, and production teams regarding pickup and delivery schedules Track interplant shipments and follow up on delays, missed pickups, or other transportation issues Coordinate urgent or last-minute transportation requests based on production and material needs Ensure transfer quantities, shipment information, and related documentation are accurate Maintain records of interplant material movements, transportation activities, and delivery status Cross-train in shipping and receiving operations at both facilities Provide backup support for shipping and receiving when team members are absent or additional coverage is needed Assist with BOLs, PODs, shipment documentation, and other logistics paperwork Coordinate with internal teams to resolve material discrepancies, shipment delays, or delivery issues Support daily logistics operations at both manufacturing facilities Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree is a plus Previous experience in logistics, transportation coordination, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or manufacturing preferred Experience coordinating with carriers, trucking companies, or transportation providers preferred Familiarity with BOLs, PODs, shipping documents, and basic transportation processes is preferred Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills Good organizational skills and attention to detail Basic computer skills; experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, or similar systems is a plus Ability to manage multiple transportation requests and changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Must be able and willing to work at both the Summerville and Orangeburg facilities each week Work Location & Travel Requirements This position supports two manufacturing facilities in
South Carolina:
Summerville Facility — approximately 3 days per week Orangeburg Facility — approximately 2 days per week The employee will be responsible for commuting between and working from both locations based on operational needs. The weekly schedule may occasionally change depending on logistics and production requirements.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
