Chasing Tails Pet Farm is looking for a dependable, responsible, and confident Dog Daycare Transportation & Animal Care Specialist to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with animals but also understands that professional animal care requires reliability, attention to detail, good judgment, physical capability, and accountability. You will play an important role in both our transportation program and the daily care of our daycare and boarding dogs. This is not simply a "drive the van" position. You will be trusted with our clients' dogs, keys, belongings, and the overall safety and well-being of the animals in your care. You will also interact directly with our clients and represent Chasing Tails every time you arrive at someone's home.

What You'll Do:

Dog Transportation

• Safely operate Chasing Tails' daycare transportation vans.
• Pick up and drop off dogs according to established routes and schedules.
• Safely load, unload, secure, and transport dogs.
• Perform a basic head-to-tail wellness and condition check when receiving and returning dogs.
• Ensure each dog has the correct belongings, food, medications, or other items when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe transportation environment.
• Safely handle client keys and other belongings.
• Communicate important information from clients to the office and appropriate team members.
• Provide professional, friendly interactions with clients at their homes.

When you are not actively driving, you will work as part of our animal-care team. Animal Care When you are not actively driving, you will work as part of our animal-care team. Supervising dogs in our outdoor daycare environment. Monitoring group dynamics, behavior, energy levels, and overall wellness. Recognizing signs of stress, illness, injury, or unusual behavior and communicating concerns appropriately. Safely handling dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels. Assisting with feeding, water, enrichment, and daily care. Maintaining clean and sanitary dog areas. Maintaining grounds, play areas, kennels, and common areas. Facility Responsibilities We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work. Ensuring dogs are safely settled before leaving for the day Locking and securing the facility. Turning off lights and equipment as appropriate. Keeping work areas clean and organized. Communicating problems instead of leaving them for someone else to discover. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have a valid driver's license. Must maintain a clean driving record. Must be comfortable driving a company vehicle. Must be able to safely lift and handle 70+ pounds. Must be physically capable of walking, standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors for extended periods. Must be comfortable handling dogs of varying sizes and temperaments. Must be able to work weekends as required by the schedule. Reliable transportation to and from Chasing Tails Pet Farm is required. As part of our hiring process, Chasing Tails may obtain a background check and/or driving record for applicants being considered for employment. Applicants may be asked to provide authorization for these checks during the interview and hiring process. Schedule Our transportation operation begins early in the morning and includes afternoon/evening return routes.
