Job Description
Position SummaryThe Supply Chain Planner supports end-to-end supply planning for the Chattem Chemicals manufacturing site, ensuring product availability while optimizing inventory, production capacity, and service levels. This role partners cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Finance, and Commercial teams to align demand, material availability, and production plans with business objectives.
Using Kinaxis Maestro (RapidResponse), SAP, and other planning tools, the planner identifies supply risks, balances supply and demand, performs scenario analysis, and drives planning decisions that support operational excellence and business continuity.
This position also plays a key role in Sun Pharma's supply chain transformation initiatives, including Kinaxis adoption, process standardization, continuous improvement, and planning capability development.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, Chemistry, or related field.
5+ years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, production planning, inventory management, purchasing, logistics, operations, production control, master scheduling, or supply chain analytics within a manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations in chemical, pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, industrial, or process manufacturing industries.
Experience utilizing advanced planning systems such as Kinaxis, SAP
