Job Description
We are looking for a Production Manager to oversee order flow, production planning, and inventory coordination at our Sparta, Wisconsin facility. This role plays a key part in aligning customer demand with manufacturing capacity, ensuring schedules, materials, and resources support on-time delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing insight, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate customer orders, releases, and revisions to support timely fulfillment and consistent service performance.
- Oversee finished goods and work-in-process inventory to maintain target levels and support production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate planning data within scheduling tools, including production rates, yields, capacity inputs, and purchasing-related information.
- Support capacity planning across assigned operations to help balance plant workload, staffing needs, and resource availability.
- Prepare and distribute production schedules and shop documentation that promote efficient use of labor, equipment, materials, and capital.
- Manage customer-driven updates and internal process adjustments that affect production timing, inventory, or scheduling priorities.
- Administer balance-out activities for discontinued jobs or obsolete programs to ensure inventory and order records are properly resolved.
- Generate operational reports for relevant stakeholders and communicate planning updates across departments and with customers when needed.
