Overview Professional Search Group OC is looking for you to Join our dynamic team as a Production Planner in the chemical manufacturing industry, where your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize production schedules, and ensure seamless supply chain operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to process improvements, leverage advanced manufacturing management systems, and support sustainable growth. As a vital link between production, procurement, and logistics, you will orchestrate the flow of materials and resources to meet customer demands while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Duties Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using ERP systems such as SAP to align with customer orders and inventory levels. Coordinate with manufacturing teams to plan daily operations, ensuring optimal utilization of equipment and personnel. Analyze production data through Excel and supply chain analytics tools to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements. Monitor inventory levels and material availability via MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to prevent shortages or overstock situations. Lead cross-functional communication between production, quality control, procurement, and logistics teams for smooth workflow execution. Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Oversee plant management activities related to production scheduling, assembly processes, and operations management to meet safety and quality standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Proven experience in production management within the chemical or manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of plant management practices. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning software; experience with MRP is essential. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting purposes. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, lean management, process improvement strategies, and Six Sigma techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering cross-functional collaboration. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including supply chain analytics and operations management. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with production scheduling software is a plus.
